In 2003, we developed a formal collaboration with Thurston Moore and Ecstatic Peace Records which involved contract negotiation, label management, artist development, distribution strategy, digital and social media marketing, event curation, creative direction, videography and photography and led to a longstanding label deal with Universal Records. As the managing partner and designer, our role often included creative directing cover artwork, posters, digital and print advertising, solicitation sheets, and the website.
In addition, quite a bit of our photography has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Rolling Stone, SPIN, The Wire, UNCUT and MOJO magazines as well as on a variety of online sites such as Pitchfork, Stereo Gum, CMJ, and Brooklyn Vegan. Our work has also been leveraged by record labels such as Matador, Sub Pop, and Universal. Artists we’ve worked with include Sonic Youth, J Mascis, Lydia Lunch, Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon, Body/Head, Bill Nace, Lee Ranaldo, Lou Reed, MV & EE, Be Your Own Pet, Free Kitten, Jemina Pearl, and many more.
